Knowledge in basic science is an essential ingredient in any professional course. The Department of science and Humanities aims to fulfill that function most efficiently. This Department is devoted to foster the fundamental principles of science which are capable to enhance individual experience of Professional students. Science and Humanities Department comprises Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and English which are handled by individual faculty who are highly qualified and professionally competent in their respective fields. All the faculty members are extremely dedicated to their vocation and are always willing to carry out any responsibility that may be entrusted to them. The department of Science and Humanities caters for the requirements of the beginners of B.Tech with proper guidance and motivation from the first day of their joining the College.

The strengths of the department includes maximum number of faculty with Ph.D, vibrant Academic Environment, Well-experienced, dedicated and strongly motivated Faculty, Application oriented teaching and development of soft-skills and Interaction with each student through counselling. About the Department

The Department of Management Studies was established in the year 2000 with a mission to become Center of Excellence for Educating Management Students and to mould the students to cater the needs of corporate world by contributing significantly in research, technology, and consultancy. The Department of Management Studies offers a two-year, four semester MBA program approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNTUA, Anantapuramu. Under the roof of Sreenivasa Institute of Technology and Management Studies (Autonomous) the Department of Management Studies has made a great attempt since its inception in imparting management education and established itself as one of the renowned management institutes in and around Chittoor District, A.P. The institute is located at a distance of 7 Kms from Chittoor Town, A.P in a lush green sprawling campus spread across 60 acres free from pollution. The campus composed of well built infrastructure that includes furnished class rooms, seminar halls, auditorium, central library, and computer center, etc.

The Department is known for its worth with motivated, committed and experienced faculty, those involve in imparting Quality Education in Management and Research Programmes. Great emphasis is laid on individual student development and team work. The learning techniques like Case Analysis, Management Games, Role Play, Group Discussions, Simulation Exercises, Practical Exposure through Industry Interactions and Conferences, Seminars, Workshops are part of the pedagogy.

About the Department

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an emerging area of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE). The increasing importance of Artificial Intelligence motivated SITAMS to offer a B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) course with specialization in Artificial Intelligence from the year 2021 with an intake of 60 and the current intake is 120 from the year 2023.

The CSE(AI)  program’s objective is to create exceptionally well AI engineers who will transform the world through creative AI solutions. This course is designed to the students who are looking for bright career and challenging jobs in industrial world. AI engineers are the highly paid professionals in the world and there is a tremendous demand of AI experts in most of areas which needs transformation.

The Department is headed by Dr. Munipraveena Rela, M.Tech., Ph.D.  She has more than two decades of teaching and research experience and published 24 research articles in reputed National and International journals. There are 10 faculty members in the Department who possess quality teaching with a passion towards high quality research. They are also knowledgeable, hard-working, earnest and adoptable, well-informed and dosed with a sense of responsibility.

The students shall be industry ready after practicing these AI based algorithms, techniques and tools and their applications to varies industries. The students will explore the practical components of developing AI apps and platforms. This degree will give expertise in problem solving, analytical skills along with the ability to design intelligent solutions for various business problems.

The department also offers a Post Graduate M.Tech.(CSE) as a two-year full time program approved by AICTE for the students who have a B.E./B.Tech. in any branch of engineering. Intake to this course is 18, selected by JNTU Anantapur by PGECET. The goal is meant to equip the students with the appropriate tools in order to survive this age of fierce competition and specialization. The department encourages a symbiosis of Thought, Word and Action through its unique, innovative and career-oriented programes. The department continuously plans to raise a cadre of exceptional professionals to ensure delivery of excellent skills to the industry they are absorbed in.

About the Department

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) was established in 2020 with a commitment to excel and deliver results with a clear focus. It has an annual intake of 60 and has subsequently increased to 120, besides an additional 20% under lateral entry scheme.

The department has well experienced faculty members who possess quality teaching with a passion towards high quality research. They are also knowledgeable, hard-working, earnest and adoptable, well-informed and dosed with a sense of responsibility.

It is the sincere aim of the department to equip the students with good skills, knowledge, and values that will help them turn into successful and upright personalities. It works in sync with the technical education provided to the students.

Department is headed by Mr. V. Ragubathy,  M.Tech.,  an eminent, well-organized with commendable skills is a faculty with 10 years of teaching and research experience. He has published 18 SCI and scopus indexed publications in reputed international journals (H-index: 6).  He has presented 19 International scopus indexed conference publications. He has published 4 books and book chapters. His area of expertise includes soft computing for next generation wireless networks, Machine Learning and Data Science.

The MCA Department was established in the year 1999 with the intake of 30 students. The intake was increased to 60 students from 2001 on wards.

The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a postgraduate program that focuses on computer applications and software development. Today, computers have become a part and parcel of all human endeavors and it is no wonder that a career in computer applications shows incomparable promise, tremendous potential and is now an out-and-out success in terms of innovation, research and an incredibly bright future.

The department stands on its four pillars, the Management, the Staff, the Students and their Hard work and Discipline that pave way for a strong foundation.

This program offers an outcome based education by providing number of in-depth core, application and elective courses. We provide students with application-oriented knowledge and problem-solving skills in computers. MCA departments often collaborate with industries to ensure that their curriculum remains up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field. This helps graduates acquire skills that are relevant to current job market demands.

The Department was Accredited by National Board of Accreditation(NBA) for 2 years (2019-20 to 2020-21)

The EEE Department at SITAMS has been a great reputation of excellence in teaching, research and service. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 1999 with an intake of 30, and was increased to 60 in the year 2002,90 in the year of 2008,120 in the year of 2009 and up to 2019 intake maintained, further in the year 2020 intake reduced to 90, in 2021 intake reduced to 60, in 2022 intake reduced to 30. With excellent laboratory facilities and dedicated faculty, the department of EEE offers broad range of programs that include undergraduate (B.Tech) and post graduate (M.Tech) in Power Electronics programs.

In our department, we offer comprehensive programs and courses that provide a strong foundation in power systems, Electrical networks, Power Electronics, Electrical vehicle, and more. Our curriculum is designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to excel in this rapidly evolving field.

M.Tech (Power Electronics):

Power Electronics is a two-year full time post-graduate program started in the year 2010 approved by the All-India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The department offers full time M.Tech program in Power Electronics with an Intake of 9, Selected through GATE/ AP PGECET.

Power Electronics involves intricate, Analysis of Power Electronic Converters, Power Electronic Control of DC drives, Modern Rectifiers and Resonant Converters, Power Electronics plays a crucial role in driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of electronic devices, opening up possibilities for artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and emerging technologies.

Members to the DAQIC (UG and PG) will be opted covering each specialization of the department. DAQIC/CDC on specific occasions such as making the syllabus for new courses, updating / modifying of present syllabus etc. The composition of the DAQIC shall need approval of the Principal.

Functionalities of DAQIC

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The Committee interacts and maintains liaison with key stakeholders.
  • Assign teaching duties to the faculty and to make the facilities available for quality of teaching.
  • Allocation of faculty mentors to the new batch of students admitted.
  • Review the cases of slow / weak students and decide appropriate action in advance in coordination with faculty mentors.
  • Guide faculty members towards ensuing continuous evaluation.
  • Ensuring discipline among students
  • Develop and recommend new or revised goals and objectives of the program.
  • Review and analyses on the gap between curriculum and Industry requirement and gives necessary feedback or advice actions.
  • Monitoring of Course plan and delivery.
  • Verification of Faculty Dairy including Attendance Entry, Internal Marks, Syllabus Coverage, Identification of Slow Learners and above average performers and necessary actions.
  • Submission of report to the DQIAC in the prescribed format.

The DAQIC will meet as often as necessary and mandatory two times each semester. Faculty mentors and other members of the faculty may be invited to meetings when necessary. The DAQIC will seek and review the reports of all course handling faculty and faculty mentors and submit its reports to HOD for remedial action if so needed.

The Department of CSE(Data Science) aims to  train students to become competent Data analytic experts and expand their capacity to contribute in the Field of data science by providing solution in Public aspects.

With excellent laboratory facilities and dedicated faculty, the department of ECE offers broad range of programs that include undergraduate (B.Tech) and post graduate (M.Tech) in VLSI System design programs.

  • Verification of Faculty Dairy including Attendance Entry, Internal and AAT Marks, Syllabus Coverage, Identification of Slow Learners and above average performers and necessary actions.
  • Submission of report to the DQIAC in the prescribed format.

The DAQIC will meet as often as necessary and mandatory two times each semester. Faculty mentors and other members of the faculty may be invited to meetings when necessary. The DAQIC will seek and review the reports of all course handling faculty and faculty mentors and submit its reports to HOD for remedial action if so needed.

About the Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2012 with an intake of 60 and the number increased to 120 in 2013 and 90 in 2018. The department is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for a period of three years from 2019-20 to 2021-2022. The department also offers M.Tech (Product Design) program from 2020. The department is headed by Mr. N SATISH KUMAR (Ph.D). Mechanical Engineering is a fast growing discipline in tune with the demands in the core areas of infrastructure and Manufacturing. The department has well equipped laboratories with an emphasis on practical approach and skills for an outcome based learning. The department has well qualified, knowledgeable and dedicated faculty.

The goal of Mechanical Engineering department is to enable students for their entry into the Mechanical Engineering profession, and is designed to meet a carefully planned set of educational objectives. We strive to prepare our students for an un comparable employability in the area of Mechanical Engineering.

A Technical Association named as “MEDA-Mechanical Engineering Department Association” was established with the objective of exploring new areas of Research and sophisticated smart technologies in the industry. To fulfil this objective a series of technical workshops, seminars, technical fests and guest lectures are being conducted every year. The students are encouraged to present papers and participate in various technical events at the National level.

About the Department

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2012 with a commitment to excel and deliver results with a clear focus. It has an annual intake 30, besides an additional 20% under lateral entry scheme.

Department is headed by Mr. U ANAND ANIL. He obtained his bachelors degree from NBKRIST/SVU Tirupati. His passion in the field of civil engineering made him to obtain masters degree from DRKCET/JNTU Hyderabad.

The department encourages a symbiosis of Thought, Word and Action through its unique, innovative and career-oriented programmes. The department continuously plans to raise a cadre of exceptional professionals to ensure delivery of excellent skills to the industry they are absorbed in.
