Dr. M. Saravanan

Dr.M.Saravanan is a seasoned professional in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, specializing in Process Control and Instrumentation, as well as Signal Processing. With a Ph.D. qualification, Dr.Saravanan brings over 22 years and 4 months of experience to his role as a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Sreenivasa Institute of Technology and Management Studies (SITAMS), where he has been serving since July 16, 2018.
His expertise is reflected not only in his academic qualifications but also in his extensive experience, with administrative roles such as Dean Academics ,Head of the department of EIE and ECE,NBA Coordinator. Dr.Saravanan is an active member of professional organizations such as MISTE, MIEEE, MISSS, and MSDIWC, indicating his commitment to staying updated with the latest developments in his field.
In recognition of his contributions, Dr.Saravanan has been awarded the Best Paper Award in SICIETS-2018, showcasing his excellence in research. Additionally, he has successfully secured funding for various projects, including receiving 2 lakh funds from MHRD for conducting an IPR workshop and Rs. 50,000/- from SERB for organizing an FDP on “modalities of Biomedical imaging”.In addition to this he actively participating in numerous workshops,training programmes and also Serving as a session chair for conferences, organizing workshops and seminars, and participating in curriculum development and accreditation processes.
His scholarly work extends beyond the classroom, with a significant number of papers published in both national and international journals (2 in national journals and 21 in international journals) and presentations at conferences (3 at national conferences and 11 at international conferences).

Dr. S. Rajesh
Professor & CoE
Dr. S. Rajesh currently holds the position of Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and serves as the Controller of Examination at the institute. With a distinguished career spanning several years, he previously served as the Head of Department for Mechanical Engineering from April 2015 to 2022.
Dr. Rajesh earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Madras University, Chennai, in 2003, followed by a Master of Engineering from Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology, Vellore, in 2005. He obtained his Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai, in 2014.
Prior to joining SITAMS in 2015, Dr. Rajesh gained valuable experience at prestigious institutions including Jeppiaar Engineering College, Chennai, Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur, and SBC Engineering College, Arani.
His research prowess was acknowledged by the university during his Ph.D., where his work was highly commended. Furthermore, he successfully completed the AICTE-MODROBS sponsored Modernization of Material Science and Solid Mechanics Lab, securing funding amounting to Rs. 922,353. Dr. Rajesh has made significant contributions to academia with 16 publications in various national and international journals, along with 16 papers presented at esteemed international and national conferences. Additionally, he holds two Indian patents. He maintains active membership in professional societies such as ISTE and IAENG.
His primary areas of interest include Materials with Manufacturing, with a specific focus on Additive Manufacturing. Dr. Rajesh’s dedication to research and academic excellence continues to enrich the field of Mechanical Engineering.
Dr. K. Gopi
Professor, Department of ECE & IQAC Coordinator
Dr. K. Gopi’s academic journey is characterized by a steadfast commitment to excellence and continuous scholarly pursuits. Dr.K.Gopi brings over 20 years of experience to his role as a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Sreenivasa Institute of Technology and Management Studies (SITAMS), where he has been serving since June 26, 2004.
Dr.K.Gopi is a seasoned professional in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, specializing in Embedded Systems, Communication Systems, as well as Digital Image Processing With a Ph.D. qualification. He obtained his Ph.D. from Sri Venkateswara University (S.V.University, Tirupati) in Electronics and Communication marking a significant milestone in his academic career.
With a wealth of experience spanning two decades, Dr. Gopi has made invaluable contributions to teaching and academic leadership. Notably, he served as the Head of Department from 2021 to 2023, overseeing departmental affairs with commendable efficiency.
Dr. Gopi’s dedication to research and mentorship is evident through his supervision of numerous B.Tech and M.Tech projects, as well as guidance provided to a Research Scholar at JNTUA, Anantapuramu. His scholarly endeavors have resulted in the publication of 22 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, Web of Science, UGC, and Scopus, alongside 14 papers presented at various National and International conferences. Additionally, Dr. Gopi has authored a patent and a textbook, solidifying his standing as a prolific academician.
As a lifelong member of esteemed professional societies including ISTE, IAENG, and SDIWC, Dr. Gopi remains actively engaged in the academic community. His areas of interest encompass Digital Image Processing, Wireless Communication Networks, Embedded Real-Time Operating Systems, and Medical Image Analysis, reflecting his diverse expertise and scholarly pursuits.
Dr. Gopi’s multifaceted role extends beyond the classroom, as he fulfills key responsibilities including acting as the IQAC Coordinator, NBA criteria coordinator, Curriculum Development Cell coordinator, and Project Work coordinator. He has also demonstrated leadership in academic governance by handling Academic Council meetings and Governing Body meetings. Furthermore, Dr. Gopi has organized and conducted workshops and Faculty Development Programs, contributing to the professional development of his peers and students alike.
Dr. S. Vijayakumar
Professor & Head, Electronics and Communication Engineering
Dr. S. Vijayakumar holds an M.Tech Degree from VIT University, Vellore, India, and a Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai. With over two decades of combined experience in academia, research, and industry, he boasts a prolific portfolio. Dr. Vijayakumar has authored and presented over 50 scholarly works in prestigious indices such as WoS, Scopus, and UGC care, both in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. Notable accolades include receiving the VLSI fellowship twice, along with distinctions such as Best Paper, Best Teacher, and Lifetime Achiever awards at esteemed international conferences hosted by institutions like Amity University and OSIET. He is an esteemed speaker, having delivered invited talks and chaired special sessions at prominent events, including the International Conference ICCMSO in Thailand and Singapore. Dr. Vijayakumar has also chaired over 50 sessions at international conferences.
His contributions extend to intellectual property, with three filed patents and UK design patent approval for one of his works. He is the author of a book published by Lambert Academic Publishers and has contributed a chapter to Springer Lecture Note Series on Electrical Engineering. His areas of expertise encompass VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Nanotechnology, and Microwave Engineering.
Dr. C. Kavitha

Dr. C. Kavitha embarked on her professional journey as an Assistant Professor at Velalar College of Engineering and Technology, Erode, following her postgraduate studies. Subsequently, she transitioned to the role of Research Associate at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India, where she engaged in pioneering research utilizing soft computing techniques for image processing applications during her doctoral pursuit.
Upon the completion of her doctoral studies, Dr. Kavitha assumed the position of Assistant Professor at Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore, for a duration of one year. Presently, she serves as an Associate Professor at Sreenivasa Institute of Technology and Management Studies, Chittoor, bringing a wealth of experience totaling 12 years to her current role. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Kavitha has demonstrated adeptness in event organization and coordination, having facilitated over 18 events and served as a session chair in various international conferences. Her scholarly endeavors have resulted in the publication of 22 research papers in esteemed international journals and 13 papers in international and national conferences.
Noteworthy among her accomplishments is the acquisition of funding from AICTE-New Delhi to conduct a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Machine Learning and Deep Learning- An Application Perspective” during the academic year 2019-20, amounting to Rs. 5.8 Lakhs. Dr. Kavitha’s current research focus revolves around the application of machine learning and deep learning algorithms for various computer vision-based applications, showcasing her dedication to advancing the frontiers of knowledge in her field.

Dr. S. Sugumaran, an esteemed academician renowned for his scholarly pursuits, holds a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication from SCSVMV (Deemed to be University), Kanchipuram. His academic journey is marked by notable achievements, including an M.E. in Applied Electronics from Sathyabama University, Chennai, and a B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Arunai Engineering College (affiliated with Anna University), Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu.
With a wealth of experience spanning approximately 15 years in the realm of academia, Dr. Sugumaran has made significant contributions to various Engineering Colleges. Noteworthy among his roles is his tenure as the exam cell coordinator at Adthiparasakthi College of Engineering (APCE) and Arunai College of Engineering (ACE) in Tamil Nadu.
Dr. Sugumaran’s expertise extends beyond traditional academia; he is an authorized CISCO Instructor, having completed a comprehensive training course from the CISCO Academy Support Center (ASC) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. For five years, he provided invaluable support to students undertaking CISCO courses at Adhiparasakthi College of Engineering, Kalavai.
Dedicated to continuous professional development, Dr. Sugumaran has completed two ISTE-sponsored two-month online faculty training programs in cutting-edge domains such as Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT). His research interests lie at the intersection of Mobile Adhoc Network, IoT, Industrial IoT, and Machine Learning, where he has made significant contributions. His scholarly output includes six international conferences and book chapters, eight international journal public ations, and the filing of three patents. Additionally, Dr. Sugumaran has authored two books.
Committed to fostering student success, Dr. Sugumaran actively supports and guides students in undertaking projects aligned with trending technologies. His proactive approach to learning is evidenced by his recent completion of two NPTEL online courses in IoT and Industrial IoT.
Dr. Y. J. Nazeer Ahmed
Associate Professor, Electronics and Communication Engineering
Dr. Y. J. Nazeer Ahmed earned his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from C. Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering Technology (affiliated with Anna University) in 2007. Subsequently, he pursued an M.E. degree in Communication Systems from B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Engineering College (also affiliated with Anna University) in 2009. Dr. Ahmed furthered his academic pursuits by attaining a Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering from B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology (Deemed to be University), Chennai, in 2021.
With an extensive teaching tenure spanning approximately 15 years across various Engineering Colleges, Dr. Ahmed has demonstrated a profound commitment to educational excellence.
